Rodent borne zoonoses: A brief review

چکیده
Rodents are the most abundant and diversified order of living mammals in world. Since middle ages they known to contribute human diseases, eg. black rats associated with distribution plague. In modern times also rodents form a threat for public health number pathogens directly or indirectly transmitted by rodents. Of 2277 extant rodent species, 217 species reservoirs harboring 66 zoonoses caused viruses, bacteria, fungi, helminths, protozoa play major role their transmission spread different ways. Among important diseases terms salmonellosis, plague, leptospirosis, leishmaniasis, toxoplasmosis, rat-bit fever, taeniasis-like Capillaria hepatica, zoonotic babesiosis, Lassa hemorrhagic fever renal syndrome (HFRS), hantavirus cardiopulmonary (HCPS). addition, Arenaviruses responsible South American Hemorrhagic Fevers (SAHF). may harbor complex such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis microti, Escherichia coli, agents Tularemia, Tick-borne relapsing Bartonellosis, Listeriosis, Lyme disease, Q Ehrlichiosis others. Recent changes global climate ecosystem composition led rodent-borne globally. Rodent control rural environments relies mainly on use rodenticides. Other management methods which can be applied trapping, habitat (e.g., proofing, sanitation), biocontrol wild domestic predators, pathogens).

Food-Borne Bacteria Associated with Seafoods: A Brief Review
Consumption of contaminated seafoods is a major cause of death and hospitalization particularly in poor and developing countries. As with other food types, seafoods are also not free of food-borne pathogens and several risk factors are associated with its consumption. Regarding seafoods, there are regulatory hygienic alerts in importing countries. This paper briefly reviews the occurrence of se...
متن کاملFluctuating rodent populations and risk to humans from rodent-borne zoonoses.
The fluctuations in abundance of a wildlife reservoir are an attractive explanation for temporal variation in primary human cases of a zoonosis. This is because high abundance may lead to more contact between humans and animals, but also to outbreaks of disease within the reservoir population. We propose a mathematical framework that sets out the consequences of correlation between reservoir ab...

Diarrhoeal diseases, almost all of which are caused by food-borne or waterborne microbial pathogens, are leading causes of illness and death in less developed countries, killing an estimated 1.9 million people annually at the global level. Even in developed countries, it is estimated that up to one third of the population are affected by microbiological food-borne diseases each year. The majori...
متن کاملParasitic food-borne and water-borne zoonoses.
Estimates suggest that almost half of the population of the world is affected by water-borne and food-borne infections. Parasitic food-borne and water-borne zoonoses contribute to this statistic by inflicting a heavy toll on human health and causing serious direct and indirect losses to the agricultural industry. The inability of non-industrialised countries to keep pace with population growth,...
متن کاملBacterial food-borne zoonoses.
In many countries of the world, bacterial food-borne zoonotic infections are the most common cause of human intestinal disease. Salmonella and Campylobacter account for over 90% of all reported cases of bacteria-related food poisoning world-wide. Poultry and poultry products have been incriminated in the majority of traceable food-borne illnesses caused by these bacteria, although all domestic ...
